AWE Multilayered Democracy Game

The AWE Multilayered Democracy game has been developed in cooperation between AWE-international and the International Academy for Education and Democracy.

The game serves learning on democracy in our globalized world. It is highly adaptable and sensitive to local conditions. It promotes dialogue between different perceptions and perspectives.

These pages are a resource base for the members of Association for World Education - and a space for further development and cooperation between AWE'ers.

Localized game boards are available as pdf's - and members can ask for game boards corresponding to any locality.

A number of different sets of cards are available - adapted to different issues and adapted to different localities. As subpages of the card page you will find links to a page for each card in the game explaining the issues it refers to.

Instructions are available on a separate page. They correspond to the different thematic versions - but should also be adjusted to different local conditions and perceptions. On this page you will also find powerpoint presentations that can be downloaded and used as templates for your own presentation.

The pages on Multilayered democracy describe issues related to contemporary democracy and the challenges we all have to deal with.

At the core of this project there is the conviction that the issues of democracy and the challenges to everyday life present themselves in a great variety of ways. Because of this it is natural that we are developing localized versions of the game and the materials connected with the game. And one of the core intentions of the project is to promote dialogue on the diversity of perceptions on democracy. We encourage you to publish activities on the calendar - and write on the blog and in the mail forum provided.

On most pages you will find external links to resources and organizations.
